Sole E55 Elliptical Review
If you are looking for an elliptical trainer and have a
budget of under $2,000, the Sole E55 may just be exactly what
you need. The strategy that Sole uses is adding excellent
features to their products, as well as quality components, with
an affordable price tag. A great example of this is the Sole
E55 elliptical trainer.
Unlike treadmills, which have a tendency to be very loud and
bulky, the Sole e55 was a pleasant surprise. I was amazed by
how quiet this machine is.
The Sole E55 Elliptical gives you the option to save 2
separate user settings. So instead of having to reset the
machine every time you plan your workout, it will already be
automatically set up for you. An example would be if a husband
and wife were working out at different levels of difficulty,
then all you need to do is press "User 1" or "User 2" and your
workout settings will be set up automatically.
It's built with a 20” stride, unlike many other ellipticals,
which have a 14-16 inch stride. This solves the biggest problem
with most low to mid-range priced elliptical trainers. The
benefit of having a bigger stride is that when you step on the
foot pads they'll move with you. So as your foot raises up to
take another step, the foot pad will raise up with it. This
greatly reduces the impact on your knees. Instead of your foot
impacting each time you take step you'll exercise in one fluid
motion. Also, since the arm bars move with you while you're in
motion, you're able to easily maintain your balance. This makes
feel like you are getting a full body workout.
To work on a new set of muscles, you can easily switch from
forward to backward motion. Whenever you need to rest
your arms during the workout there are stationary arm bars
provided for you to use. Like most ellipticals and treadmills
you use at the gym, the E55 has stationary handle bars that are
equipped with built in pulse sensors. This enables you to keep
track of your heart rate while you exercise. You are also
provided with a heart rate chest strap if you don’t want to
bother with switching back and forth from the moving arm bars
to the stationary handle bars.
